Our preschool is a co-op, and my regular jobs are to make playdough and to wash and fill paint cups. I was talking with another parent at the school the other day about the playdough recipe I use and how easy it is (no cooking!) and thought that I should share it here, since easy playdough is one of the most useful things ever to someone trying to raise a small child without major incident. Here goes:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 cup boiling water
1 Tablespoon cooking oil
1/2 teaspoon food coloring
Mix the dry stuff, then the wet stuff and then mix it all together. Voila!
