It is a midsummer Tuesday morning, and I am listening to my daughter whistle the French national anthem while she marches around the backyard in her pajamas. I can hear her because it is cool enough (or rather, the humidity is low enough), that we have all the windows open. Zak, who is teething like he invented it, is sleeping in his carseat next to the dining room table. Because he won't sleep anywhere else. Not even in my lap. I'm typing with one hand so that I can rock him while I work.
And, I do kind of need to work today, because I am this close to finishing up Volume Eight of Alphabet Glue. Indeed, look for it here tomorrow morning. Annie 2.0 is coming by for dinner and proofreading duties this evening, after which I think we should be good to go. What's inside you ask? Really fun stuff. Like making paper pinwheels and crafting fieldguides to your neighborhood trees. Oh, and kid friendly graphic novels with templates for making your own comic books. And a science experiment (of course!) and an introduction to seedsaving for kids. This issue came together quite nicely, I must say, and I'm looking forward to sharing.
So, do check in tomorrow morning to give a proper welcome to Volume Eight of Alphabet Glue!
