Good news, all: I managed the making of this fellow without the use of pliers, needle-nose or otherwise. I mixed up the stuffing situation a bit and used a mixture of Quilter's Dream and the Near Sea Naturals Organic Cotton Stuffing. This worked out much, much better than the last time around and I was able to sew all four limbs on, from the outside, without incident. Faster and less painful. Sounds like a winner to me.
I did manage to make a ridiculous mistake when sewing his scarf, however. It ended up far too narrow to turn right-side out and was sent to the scrap heap. This is okay though. I had been looking for an excuse to see how Mr. Fox feels about bow ties. Or approximations of them anyway, as I quickly realized that I don't actually know how one ties a bow tie.
