In the event that the idea of making a child's toy or clothing item seems a little daunting to anyone, I wanted to share some links that might lead you to a pattern or tutorial that could ease your worry! That way there is nothing to stop you from participating in the swap and sharing the handmade love.
Wee Wonderfuls is a great place to start. Hillary Lang has a number of patterns available for purchase on her site, as well as a few really cute freebies. Also, check out the tutorial on Sew Liberated for modifying the Wee Wonderfuls Kit, Chloe and Louise pattern to make super cute cat dolls.
I already mentioned it in an earlier post, but the tutorials list put together by The Long Thread earlier this week is amazing and has a whole section devoted to children's toys and clothing. Everything from dolls to skirts is there and a crafty soul could certainly find something suitable to make and share, I think.
If anyone has other patterns or tutorials that they would like to share, feel free to leave links in the comments area for all to see.
